【ウエルネススポーツクラブ】夏季短期講習会3週目のご報告

横浜中央YMCAでは、8月7日（金）短期講習会の最終日に行われたワッペンテストの様子をご紹介いたします。体操クラス（幼少器械体操）では皆の前でポーズを決めたり、水泳クラス（ラッコ）で練習成果を発揮しました！！

体操クラスでもワッペンと認定証をもらえたよ！

5日間、子どもたちは楽しくプールや体操をお友だちやリーダー（指導者）と一緒に行うことによって、技術の向上や、運動をする楽しさを身につけ成長したと思います。これからも続けて行けるように、リーダー一同お待ちしています！

年間クラス2期は8月15日（土）から開始となります。

夏季講習会水泳・体操クラスリーダー一同

【ウエルネススポーツクラブ】夏季講習会（幼児体育）実施のご報告

8月3日（月）～7日（金）

夏季講習会「幼児体育」クラスが開講されました。

ボールあそび！

コロコロと転がしながら柔軟体操。

ボールをお腹でストップ。

転んだ時に体を手で支えられる身のこなしにもつながります。

　
ロープを持って、にょろにょろにょろ…。

輪っかの中にいるリーダーと、綱引き対決！

遊びを通じてロープの扱いに親しみ、なわとびにも挑戦します！

幼稚園や学校でもよく取り組まれているなわとび運動。

家でも練習しているけどなかなかうまくいかない…。という子も、

リーダーたちと一緒にやってみよう！

鏡に向かって、紅白玉を投げるポーズをチェック。

足に挟んで、ウサギのようにぴょん♪

ありふれた道具でも、アイデア次第で無数の遊び方ができますね。

鉄棒やとび箱などの器械運動にもチャレンジしました！

YMCAの体操クラスでは、多様な運動や遊びを通じ、

幼少期に成長著しい神経系の発達を促します。

運動の楽しさを知り、運動能力の土台をつくることで、

将来的にもスポーツを楽しめる心と体を育みます！

今回の5日間に参加してくれたお友だちも、またYMCAで会いましょうね！

【ウエルネススポーツクラブ】夏季講習会 ベビースイミング

 今回は8月3日(月)～8月7日（金)の5日間で実施した、夏季講習会のベビースイミングクラスの様子をご報告いたします。

【英語学校】小学生 英語であそぼう！5日目（最終日）

今日はとうとうプログラム最終日。

最後のテーマは"Sports"でした。

みんながよく知るスポーツから、スカイダイビング、バンジージャンプ、シュノーケリングなど、なかなかやったことのないスポーツもありました。

写真を眺めるだけでとてもわくわくしますね！

先生のジェスチャーを見てどのスポーツかを推測し、フラッシュカードを選ぶゲームは盛り上がりました。

最後に、 好きな模様やキャラクターを描いたフリスビーを作って遊びました。

どうやったら遠くに飛ぶのかを教え合ったり、 みんなで投げて距離を競ったりしました。

たった5日間でしたが、みんなの距離がぐっと縮まって、仲が深まったことを実感する時間でした。

修了式では最後のスピーチを披露！

全員が、この5日間で一番自信を持って発表することができたと思います。

そんなみなさんに、リーダーからのメッセージつき修了証のお渡し！

5日間を通して様々なテーマにふれることができました。

最初は、先生がクイズを出しても黙って見ているだけだったお友だちも、最終日には間違いを恐れずに答えたり、大きな声でリピートができるようになりました。

英語はたくさん聞いてどんどん使っていくことが習得の近道だと思います。

これからも、おうちや学校、町の中などいろんな場所で楽しく英語にふれることができるといいです！

【英語学校】幼児 英語であそぼう！5日目（最終日）

本日もSomaリーダーが英語でブログを書いてくれました！

Today was our 5th and last day of the program. 

The theme for today was "Sea Animals".

Although it was our last day together, the students were more enthusiastic than ever.

We started off by learning the names of sea animals such as "Whale" and "Octopus". Many students already seemed familiar with some of the sea animals so we were able to zoom through this activity.

Next, using knowledge acquired, the students went fishing! The teacher called out the name of a fish which the students then tried to catch. Everybody was able to catch fish, with some students catching nearly 10 fish. 

For the final activity, the students made their own unique jellyfish using paper plates as the head of the jellyfish, and pieces of colored paper as the tentacles. We had many colorful jellyfish swimming all around the classroom.

Throughout the final day, students showed a drastic improvement in their English ability as they used English phrases more frequently with more confidence. One of the notable phrases was "○○ please" and "Thank you".

Before we said our final goodbyes, there was a short closing ceremony where all the students received a certificate congratulating them for successfully completing the 5 day program. We all made sure to clap when each classmate received their certificate.

Although it was unfortunate that we only got to spend 90 minutes per day together across the span of 5 days, there were clear improvements in each student's English ability. With more exposure to an English speaking environment, the students can really improve their English ability.

【英語学校】小学生 英語であそぼう！4日目

小学生の英語講習会4日目の今日のテーマは「Nature（自然）」でした。

本来なら、みんなで公園に行って自然観察をしてみたかったのですが、今回は時間の短い講習会のないため、ビデオと絵本を通して自然の中にあるものや生き物を見ました。

普段じっくり観察する機会は少ないかもしれませんが、こうして見ると、自然界は不思議がいっぱいで面白いですね！

登場する動物の名前も英語で紹介しました。

その後、先生と一緒に練習した単語を覚えたかどうか、ゲームをしながら確認しました。

This is the sun!

This is a mountain!

This is the moon!

（名詞の前につけるtheとaの違いはまだ難しかったですね。）

足元の単語を読み上げながら相手の陣地に向かっていきます。

途中で相手と出会ったらじゃんけん！（Rock, Scissors, Paper!）

何度もやることでだんだんとテンポよく読み進められるようになり、勝ったチームは喜びを分かち合っていました！ 

今日のスピーチは、自然の中にあるものを3つ選んで紹介しました。

3日目まではリーダーや先生の助けがかなり必要でしたが、今日はスラスラと単語が出てきて驚きました！

毎日繰り返し取り組むことで、文章を考えること、練習すること、発表することに慣れ、自信もついてくるのだということを証明してくれているようです！

明日はとうとう最終日。

「英語って楽しい！」

そう感じられるようなアクティビティを準備して、明日も待っています！

【英語学校】幼児 英語であそぼう！4日目

今日は、Somaリーダーが英語でブログを書いてくれました！

Today, we explored the topic of weather.

We started off by singing "the Weather Song" together. Everybody sang with passion and enthusiasm as we learned about feelings associated with each type of weather, such as "hot" and "cold".

Following our wonderful ensemble, we learned about different equipment we use in different types of weather through an artsy worksheet. During this activity, the students were able to say "Can I have 〇〇 please" and fill in the blanks with the names of the equipment, such as "umbrella" and "sunglasses".

After a relaxing break, we took a look at clouds of all different shapes and sizes and tried designing our own clouds with colorful strings. Some students tried shaping their clouds into vehicles, whilst some tried shaping their clouds into animals or simple but pretty shapes.

To finish off the class, we all had fun making sunglasses out of colorful pipe-cleaners. The students enjoyed choosing which colors to use. Once again, the students were able to say "Can I have 〇〇 please", but this time filling in the blanks using colors that we have learned over the past 3 days.

Once we all finished making our sunglasses, we got together to take a group picture. 

Everybody looks so cool!

The students seem to have gelled together nicely and seem to be having a blast.

It's unfortunate that tomorrow is the last day, but let's have fun!
