Though Mr. Sun
did not show up last month for the Family Picnic, we are really blessed to meet
him and be welcomed by his brightness at Negishi Forest Park last Friday, June 2.
Indeed, it was fate that brought all YGK parents, brothers, sisters and friends
together in this meaningful event.
Looking at the
smiles and awesome dance moves of everyone during Morning Meeting, we knew
already that this year’s Family Picnic is an extraordinary one.
Who would have
thought that Parachute games done with strong winds would be super fun and
extra challenging? Joey and Puppy kids were non-stop giggling underneath the
parachute as the parents made big waves and fought with the wind. Next to them
were the Cubs and Kittens yelling and cheering for four parachute mice not to
get caught by the cats. It was really amazing to see parents willing to stoop
down and just have fun together with children. We are proud of you!
Yes/No game and
Bingo Scavenger hunt have just carved a beautiful memory into the students’
hearts. The children seemed so happy walking around, finding treasure, and
winning games together with their families.

of our hearts, thank you so much, coolest parents, for joining all the
activities enthusiastically. High five!!
当初予定されていた先月の日程では残念ながらお日様が顔を出してくれずに延期になったYGKのファミリーピクニックですが、延期日程で行った先週の金曜日、６月２日には、お日様がニッコリ明るい笑顔を見せてくれ、気持ちの良いお天気になりました。
横浜開港記念日でもあったこの日、この大切なファミリーイベントに、お父様やお母様だけなく、普段はなかなか参加が難しい小学生のお兄ちゃん、お姉ちゃん達も集ってくれました。
一日の始まりを告げるモーニングミーティングで既にたくさんの笑顔や素敵なダンスを見せてくださった園児やご家族の皆様の姿は、今年のファミリーピクニックも素晴らしいものとなることを確信させてくれました。
風が強い日には、パラシュート遊びがこんなに楽しく、こんなにチャレンジングになるなんて、ご存知でしたか？パラシュートで大きな波を作ったり、風に抗ったりしている保護者の皆様の姿に、ジョーイとパピークラスの皆は、パラシュートの下でクスクス笑いが止まりませんでした。そのお隣では、キテンとカブクラスの皆が逃げ回るパラシュート鼠とそれを捕まえようとする猫との攻防に大盛り上がりでした！屈みこんで一緒に楽しんでくださった保護者の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。
続いて楽しんだ○×ゲームや宝探しは、忘れがたい楽しい思い出を皆の心に刻み込んでくれたことでしょう。公園を散策して宝物を見つけ出し、大好きなご家族の皆さんと一緒にゲームをやり遂げ、本当に嬉しそうでした。
アクティビティーに積極的にご参加いただき、このイベントを一緒に盛り上げてくださった保護者の皆様に心から感謝申し上げます。
