YGK Cub Class Sleepover

YGK Cub Class went to Fujisan YMCA to have their Sleepover. They have had many new experiences like riding the bullet train with friends, milking a cow, feeding horses, jumping up and down the trampoline, exploring a mini jungle, making their own beds, going to a public bath with friends, and of course, sleeping, just with friends, away from their loving parents.Aside from these highlights we got to play at the big Makaino Farm. We enjoyed the trek to the farm as we passed by fields overlooking the majestic Mount Fuji. We also saw tree houses, glam-camp tents, huge pumpkins, hammocks and different animals.Dinner and breakfast at Fujisan YMCA were amazing and we were surprised that the students were trying and enjoying food they haven't tried before.On our second day we played at a big meadow overlooking some hills on a clear day. They played different games, chased butterflies and dragonflies, and picked flowers and weeds for about 2 hours. They were almost already tired when discovered a mini forest that lead to a field. We were not fortunate enough to find Totoro but we found a lot laughs because of our adventures.
Outdoor experiences like these really gave us not just fun and memorable moments but also valuable learning experiences we could use in our daily lives.

ＹＭＣＡグローバルキンダーガーテン（ＹＧＫ）のカブクラス（年長）が富士山ＹＭＣＡにお泊り保育に行ってきました。新幹線に乗ったり、馬に餌をあげたり、トランポリンで飛び跳ねたり、ミニジャングルを探検したり、お布団を敷いたり、お友達と一緒にお風呂に入ったり、そしてもちろん、大好きなお父さんやお母さんと離れてお友達と一緒に寝たり…、とってもたくさんの新しい経験をしてきました。
とのようなハイライトである活動の他に、まかいの牧場に遊びに行ってきました。荘厳な富士山を仰ぎ見ながら草原を通り抜け、牧場へと通じる道を楽しく歩きました。ツリーハウスやグランピングテント、巨大なかぼちゃ、ハンモック、いろいろな動物たちを目にすることが出来ました。
富士山ＹＭＣＡでの食事は本当に美味しく、カブの皆が今までに食べたことのない物もトライ出来たことに嬉しい驚きを感じています。
良い天気に恵まれた翌日、丘の向こうの広い牧草地で遊びました。いろいろなゲームをして遊んだり、蝶やトンボを追いかけたり、花や草を摘んだりして楽しく過ごしました。ちょうど遊び疲れてきた頃、草原へと通じる茂みの小道を見つけました。残念ながらトトロを見つけることは出来ませんでしたが、この小さな冒険のおかげでたくさんの笑い声を見つけることが出来ました。
このように戸外で過ごした時間は、楽しく思い出に残る時間をくれただけでなく、日常生活に活かすことが出来る価値ある学びの経験をもたらしてくれました。
