Today was the final day of the spring English program. As usual, the kids had an absolute blast learning vocabulary and playing games related to the theme “Easter” and “animals”.
Finally, the kids enjoyed their final moments with Ms. Jenice as they wrote an Easter card to their families. Their artistic skills were on point and I was stunned, as the cards were filled with all sorts of different, unique, and beautiful color combinations.
Second period with Ms. Monica began with the kids learning how to introduce themselves in front of people. We learned how to say simple phrases like “My name is” and “I like”, and it was clear the kids were getting the hang of speaking English in front of a large group of people.
After practicing to say our own names and learning how to introduce ourselves, we did a little doodle quiz where one of the leaders (it's me!) volunteered to draw some pictures on the whiteboard and the kids tried to guess the illustrations in English. Honestly, the pictures were illegible, but that didn’t stop the kids from guessing what was written on the board. Their guessing skills were unbelievable.
Lastly, we did a small animal Bingo game where the kids glued their preferred animals on a nine-grid Bingo sheet, and played a short Bingo game. The kids had a blast filling in the Bingo sheet, and it was great to conclude the class with a small, fun activity.
I, too, had the best time ever.
