We had a wonderful Sports Day!

We have had many exciting and fun-filled events so far, in this beautiful month at YMCA Global Kindergarten (YGK).

Amongst all, the Sports Day was one of the biggest and most awaited events of the whole school year.  Children had practiced their performances and dances for weeks in anticipation of this beautiful day when all the YGK families get together.

All four age-groups, from the 2-3 year olds of Joey class to the Cub class, K3 stood out showing their talent and working their charm.

It was the Joeys' very first time to perform in a gymnasium full of people watching them.  But they fully deployed their cuteness!  Everyone was in love.

The K1 class, the Puppies, had three performances; an obstacle race, and two dances.  Their performances were fueled by motivation and energy … They made quite a bang despite some shyness.

The Kitten class, K2, showed how fast they have grown.  Their parachute performance was beautiful and attractive.

The gymnastic steps demonstrated by the Cub class (K3), were awesome.  Those were challenging steps for them and they fumbled a bit at the beginning, but their perseverance paid off and their performance was a major success!

Besides these serious performances, we had more fun activities, like the grandparents’ “Ball Toss game”, and parents’ “Don’t Get Stuck” game, in which parents hold hands together standing in a line and pass a hoop without using their hands, and more!!

We were also happy to see our dear graduates and their families again!! 

It is always a wonderful and important thing to revive and keep our friendships alive.

Halloween is just around the corner.  Let's get dressed and enjoy this spooky and happy event.

この美しい１０月、ＹＭＣＡグローバルキンダーガーテン（ＹＧＫ）では、わくわくするような楽しい行事が盛り沢山です。

中でも、スポーツデーは一年のうちでも最も大きな規模であり、皆が楽しみにしている行事の一つです。ＹＧＫファミリーの皆さんが集まるこの特別な日のために競技やダンスの練習を重ねてきました。

２歳児のジョーイクラスから年長・カブクラスまで、どのクラスもそれぞれの魅力と才能を見せてくれました。

ジョーイクラスの皆にとっては、広い体育館でまた大勢の方に見守られての演技は初めての体験でした。でも、その可愛さを余すところなく見せてくれました！観客の皆さんもジョーイクラスの可愛さにすっかり魅了されてしまったのではないでしょうか。

年少のパピークラスは、クラスとして３つの種目を見せてくれました。障害物競争と箪笥が二つ。どの競技も元気いっぱいに、そしてちょっとの恥ずかしさも素敵なアクセントにして、素敵に演じてくれました。

年中のキテンクラスは成長した姿を見せてくれました。特にパラシュート演技はとても美しく、素敵でした。

年長のカブクラスによる組体操はただもう圧巻でした。練習を始めたばかりの頃は、動きが難しくてなかなかうまくできませんでした。でも、ひたむきに練習を続けて、本番では大成功を収めることが出来ました。本当に素晴らしい発表を見せてくれました。

このような真剣な競技だけではなく、楽しい競技もたくさんありましたよ。おじいちゃま、おばあちゃまによる玉入れ、そして保護者競技は手を使わないでフラフープをパスしていく様子がコミカルで応援する園児たちは大喜びでした！他にも紹介しきれないほど楽しい、盛り上がる競技がたくさんでした。

もう一つ嬉しかったのは、何人もの卒園児やご家族が遊びに来てくれたことです。お時間を作ってご来場いただいた皆様に心より感謝いたします。

さて！ハロウィーンがもうそこまで来ていますよ。仮装の準備は出来ていますか？この怖くて楽しいイベントを存分に楽しみましょう！
