On the very first day, we had a special
program, a flower arrangement class, welcoming a teacher who used to work as a
flower arrangement teacher in the UK.
They say seeing, smelling, growing and
touching flowers or plants does good for the children’s emotional and creative
development; it’s called “Hanaiku” or “Education through Flowers”. We think it’s very true as our children loved
this special activity and their works. I
hope their families also enjoyed their splendid work!
On this coming Saturday, we will have the
Summer Festival from 10:00-12:00. Anyone
is welcome to join. We look forward to
seeing you!
ＹＭＣＡグローバルキンダーガーテンはサマースクールの真っ最中です。子ども達は毎日とても元気に楽しくすごしています。
今年のサマースクールの１日目には、特別な活動をしました。イギリスでフラワーアレンジメントの指導をされていた先生をお招きして、フラワーアレンジメントを行いました。
花や植物を見たり、その香りを楽しんだり、また育てたり、触れたりすることは子ども達の情緒や想像力の育ちに大きな役割を果たすと言われています。この頃は、「花育」という言葉を目や耳にするようになりました。子ども達はとても楽しそうに取り組み、とても素敵な作品が出来上がりました。ご家族の皆様も皆の作品をご家庭でお楽しみいただけたことと思います。
さて、今週の土曜日はＹＧＫサマーフェスティバルが行われます。１０時より開始、１２時に終了となりますので、是非皆様お誘い合わせの上、お越しください。皆様のご来場をお待ちしております。
