At YMCA Global Kindergarten, an English
kindergarten run by Yokohama YMCA, we celebrated the flower festival in June.
This is a Christian celebration to show our
gratitude to the people in our community who support us daily. Each student brought in beautiful flowers
from home. The children held the flowers
in their hands gently and visited places like a police box, a post office, a
station, etc. to deliver flowers with our gratitude. Everyone welcomed them so warmly with big
smiles on their faces. The children were
so happy to see that they could make the others happy.
We would like to keep it in mind that our daily
lives and our happiness are supported by many people around us both directly
and indirectly and that each one of us is supporting someone also. We would like to appreciate these warm relations.
全日制英語幼児園・YMCA Global Kindergartenでは、花の日のお祝いをしました。
これは、日頃からお世話になっている皆さんに感謝の気持ちを表す機会として行っている行事です。子ども達は小さな手にお花をそっと握り、交番や郵便局、駅等を訪問し、お花を贈りました。行く先々で皆様に暖かく笑顔で迎えていただき、感謝です。子ども達は、皆を笑顔に出来たことをとても嬉しく感じたようです。
私たちの毎日の生活はたくさんの人たちに支えられていること、そして私たち一人一人も誰かの役に立っていることを覚えておいてほしいと思っています。これからも、このような暖かいつながりに感謝を忘れずに過ごしていきたいと思います。
