本日はリーダーとして参加し、様々なサポートをしてくれているRyomaリーダーが、英語でブログを書いてくれました！
Today’s theme was “food”. Since it was the
first day of the summer program, we stated off the class with a quick
icebreaker activity where we learned how to pronounce different types of food.
I was surprised to see how quickly all the students got used to the classroom.
After the icebreaker activity, we engaged in activities where we learned how to pronounce our favorite foods. Here, we practiced how to use key phrases like, “I like…” and “my favorite food is…” to talk about our favorite foods. It was really nice to see everyone involved in all the activities and their energy brought a lot of light to the classroom.
Leaning towards the end of class, we tried drawing out our favorite foods. I was blown away to see how well everyone could draw! Their artistic skills were far superior to mine!
First day of class went much better than expected and it was a lot of fun getting to know everyone! I had a real blast participating in all the different types of activities and I look forward to spending the next 5 days with everyone!
