YMCA Global Kindergarten・活動報告
As part of our theme, community helpers, the Kitten class had an opportunity to visit Yokohama Central Ward's fire Station.
It was a really fun and engaging experience for them. When we arrived, the children were delighted to see the firemen who welcomed us in front of a big fire truck and an ambulance. One of them explained about hoses and the tools they use at work. The children were surprised to see the hidden racks of tools on the side of the truck.
They cheered as the teachers used the fire hydrants which were filled with water for the demonstration. Then each of them got the chance to sit on driver's seat of the fire truck.
After that, the firefighters showed a demonstration of going down from a 9-meter wall while wearing a mask and an oxygen tank. The children couldn't help but say that they are very cool. It was an awesome morning at the fire station.
今月のテーマであるコミュニティヘルパーの学習の一環で、YGKキテンクラスの園児たちが消防署に見学に行ってきました。
とてもわくわくするような体験になりました。消防署に到着すると、大きな消防車と救急車の前で出迎えてくださった消防士さんに大喜びでした。消防士さんはお仕事で使うホースやその他の道具について説明をしてくださいました。消防車には道具の入ったラックが隠れていてそれを見たみんなはびっくりしていました。
先生たちは水消火器を使って消火練習もさせていただきました。その後、一人一人消防車の座席に座らせてもらいました。
続いて、マスクと酸素ボンベを背負った消防士さんたちが9メートルの壁を降下するデモンストレーションを見せてくれました。かっこいい！という声がそこここから聞こえてきました。わくわくがいっぱい詰まった日になりました。
消防署の皆様、お忙しい中ご対応いただき、ありがとうございました。そして、いつもみんなの安全を守ってくださってありがとうございます。
